If you’re unsure how to feel about matcha, I have a simple suggestion for you — try adding blueberry sauce. I first tried this combination at Dunkin’ after seeing it suggested on TikTok and it did. not. disappoint.
Matcha has been all the rage in recent years, yet, as much as I wanted to, I just couldn’t get behind it. I fell into the category of people who simply taste grass, and honestly, 9 times out of 10, still do.

I wanted badly to enjoy it, to opt for something other than espresso, but I couldn’t figure out if what my perfect order would be. That all changed once I tried it with blueberry sauce.
You can buy pre-made blueberry sauce or even use blueberry jam, but I decided to make my own since I had some on hand.
Matcha lovers will also tell you that the brand of matcha you use makes a difference. I imagine that this is true, however, I can’t attest to it since I’m a bit of a novice when it comes to matcha. I found an affordable and decently rated brand, , and have enjoyed it thus far.
The matcha combinations, similar to coffee, are endless — which I love. This remains my go-to when I’m looking for an alternative to my usual latte. Enjoy 🙂
Iced Blueberry Matcha

Ingredients:
- 1/2 Cup blueberries
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Cup Milk
- 1/2 to 1 tsp Jade Leaf Matcha
- 1/4 Cup cool or warm water
- 1/3 Cup Chobani Sweet Cream Creamer
Instructions:
- Heat 1/2 Cup of blueberries in a small pot or saucepan over medium heat.
- Add 1 Tbsp sugar, watching closely as the sugar begins to melt to ensure it doesn’t burn.
- As the sugar starts melting, begin to mash the blueberries, releasing the juice.
- Combine the mashed blueberries and melted sugar until fully combined.
- Remove your blueberry syrup from the heat and store in an airtight container.
- Begin making your matcha by combining 1/2 to 1 tsp of matcha with 1/4 Cup of cool or warm water in a separate cup.
- Whisk the matcha and water until fully combined and the matcha is completely dissolved in the water.
- Finally, pour 1/3 Cup of the Chobani Sweet Cream Creamer into another cup and froth until a foam forms. A frother works best for this.
- Assemble all ingredients into your desired cup or tumbler, beginning with your blueberry syrup at the bottom. Add as much or as little as you prefer.
- Next, add ice and 1 Cup of milk of your choice.
- Add your matcha mix over top and mix, incorporating the matcha and blueberry syrup.
- Finally, top it off with your sweet cream cold foam and enjoy! 🙂
